About Us
Immaculate Cleaning Service Group Pty Ltd is a fourth-generation family business with a rich history dating back to the 1800s. Established by Eric Hjort, a Swedish chemist who founded a laundry business in Johannesburg, our company has evolved over the years to become a trusted leader in soft furnishings cleaning. With 86 years of industry experience, we take pride in offering high-quality, fibre-specific cleaning solutions tailored to our clients’ needs. Today, our operations are led by a dedicated team of 16 professionals who continue to uphold our legacy of excellence.
Our Managing Director, JoAnn Capazorio, joined the company in 1996, working closely with Brian Stanley before taking over as MD in 2008. Our expert team boasts a combined experience of over 220 years, with some members serving the company for over 30 years. They are highly trained in all cleaning techniques and spotting chemicals, and all employees undergo polygraph testing before employment.

1950s
Douglas Hjort
His son, Douglas Hjort, a chartered accountant, launches Douglas Dry Cleaners and later acquires Immaculate Cleaning.
1964
Brian Stanley
Brian Stanley, the next generation, joins the company, expanding into soft furnishings cleaning.
1982
Dri Foam
The business acquires Dri Foam, a company specializing in rug cleaning since 1939
